Hedges separate the sites in Key Largo Kampground, which feels more like a village with palm trees.
Chickees line the main canal that connects the marina to the shallow flats beyond, and some of these sites face the canal and have their own boat slips.
About one third of the condo campsites, which come with full hook-ups and free cable television, are available for people stopping off just for the night.
The site has two beaches which look out towards Newport Bay, and for those visitors who do not fancy taking a dip in the Ocean, then there is a heated swimming pool, and one for the children too.
There are a lot of games available for all the family, which makes it a lovely site to really leave the office behind and forget all about work.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is about a mile north of this 40 acre campground.
You will need to be aware that there is a maximum figure of six people allowed per rental at any one time.
This may make it difficult for larger families and groups of friends that wish to camp here.
